Background of the facility.

Bargu community is one of the communities in Shani Local Government that receive the NSHIP intervention around October 2018 with a soft grant of $10,000 As part of the World Bank assisted project to strengthen the health system. Our team visited the communities to ensure judicious utilization of the resources.

Our team visited Bargu and many communities across southern Borno to track the Implementation and utilization of the allocated Additional Financing- Nigerian state Health Investment Project (AF-NSHIP) across the accredited and contracted facilities to see the level of work done and progress recorded.

CHALLENGES FACED OVER THE LACK OF OR INCAPACITATION OF THE FACILITY

Before the Release of the grants to tackle some of the basic needs of the healthcare facility the health facility is in a dilapidated condition making the community difficult for the members to have access to healthcare facility. With the intervention the Health facility managers and the community members remodeled the facility with the grants support.
