In commemoration of International Menstrual Hygiene Day 2023, Center for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) in collaboration with Borno Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) and Unique Care and Support Foundation (CASFOD), host a significant press conference, advocating for the prioritization of menstrual hygiene kits for adolescent girls and women of reproductive age.
In order to put an end to unhygienic menstruation and alleviate period poverty, it is essential to ensure effective menstrual cycle management, particularly for young girls in school. By addressing this crucial need, we can empower young girls to stay in school, bolstering their education.
Our ambitious goal is to make menstruation a natural and normalized aspect of life by 2030.

By advocating for menstrual hygiene management, we strive to break down the barriers and stigma surrounding menstruation.
Together with our esteemed partners, we are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable society where menstruation is embraced without shame or limitations.
